We are based in Mordialloc, about twenty minutes down the bay, and Brighton is a regular service area for us. We are a service area business, so we do not take walk-ins. Our electricians come to you.
It depends on your address. Bayside requires a planning permit where the property is in a heritage overlay and the panels would be visible from the street or a public park, and a large number of Brighton properties are covered. Panels on a rear roof plane usually are not visible and usually do not need a permit. We check the overlay during the design stage and tell you before anything is ordered.
Yes. Slate is common on Brighton's period homes and it is one of the roof types we are asked about most. We assess the condition of the slate first, then design a bespoke mounting approach for it. If the roof is not sound enough to take panels, we will say so rather than proceed.
Sigenergy is the system we install most often, because solar, storage, EV charging and backup all run off the one stack and it can be expanded later. We also install Tesla Powerwall, GoodWe and Enphase batteries.
